How to Make an Origami Knife
Learning how to make an origami knife is fun. This knife folds into itself, much like a pocketknife. Although a bit complex, this origami weapon is sure to be a popular choice for origami enthusiasts of any level.
Using a square piece of paper, fold it diagonally corner to corner, in both directions. Open it back up and then kite fold both sides in, meeting at the center.
Fold the top corners of the kite fold along the diagonal fold, out to the edge.
Fold the outer corners in along the line created by the previous fold. Crease and then open up. Flip the paper over and refold along the newly created crease.
Fold the right side over to the middle crease. Take the bottom portion and fold it up to meet the corner. Fold over the left side to meet the middle crease.
Take the very end point and fold it down half an inch. Create a new point by folding the two sides in along the point just created. Then, fold the entire knife in half.
Fold the blade portion up as shown. Then, open and fold down in the opposite direction. This creates creases for the forming of the blade.
Push the blade up using the creases just created. This should form a 90-degree angle.
Push the blade portion down to met the handle. Pull sides up so the blade is located inside.
