Steps on How to Make a Paper Money Ring
For a fun accessory to any wardrobe, consider a paper money ring. Follow the steps below to make a paper money ring you can wear:
- Select a crisp bill, if possible, to make the paper money ring.
- Fold the white edges of the longer sides of the dollar bill under. Crease well. Fold the bill in half lengthwise. Then, fold the bill in half again. You should have a long, slender dollar bill.
- Fold in just the white edge of the dollar bill's right side so that you are folding it away from you.
- Flip the dollar bill over. Now, fold the same edge in again, about an inch. If you fold precisely, this should allow the number "1" on the dollar bill to be visible on the folded portion.
- Use your hand to roll up the remaining portion of the dollar bill. By rolling it up, you will create a soft curve in the rest of the bill when it opens back up. This curve will help you to roll the dollar bill later.
- Take the curved portion of the bill in your hand. Create a 90-degree angle about in the center of the otherwise unfolded portion.
- Fold the vertical portion of this previous fold behind the horizontal piece. After this fold occurs, the folded portion should be pointing down, toward you. Afterwards, flip it over.
- Next, the curve made earlier will make it easier for you to roll the ring up. Roll it around to complete a circle. Line up the folds you have created.
- Wrap the vertical part of the dollar bill down, over the top and then through the center of the ring.
- Fold this portion under and then bring it around the flap. All you have to do is to tuck the flap inside the other side. This locks it into place.
A money origami ring may be a gift. Wear it on your finger. The size is slightly smaller, but it does make an ideal choice for children. It definitely will add to your bling.
While the steps above outline how to make a paper money ring, know that rings are not all you can do with paper money.
